this was never about a license issues. when apple acquired emagic 5(?) years ago, they discontinued sounddiver among other products. at this point, the OSX version of sounddiver was a beta and worked okay'ish. this version, which is the last one we had access to, now barely works with newer OSX versions 10.4 and upwards. that's the reason why we took it off the access website. it's a similar situation with the PC version which works better with e.g. XP but starts to show it's age with Vista and windows 7.

access support can send you both _stand alone_ version, in case you want to toy around but we will not be able to help you make them work.
