Ok, after a lot of "trial and error", what I found was this. I dissasembled the bottom of the unit and tried to press the 2 eeproms on the mainboard while I switched it on and it worked. I realized that maybe the legs (or some of them) were not connecting as they should, or maybe their sockets had the problem. Long story short, I desoldered the sockets (and throw them away

) and then I soldered the eeproms directly to the mainboard. My Virus is working again. 5 hours later...still going good. If anything goes wrong again, I'll let you know.
