I once had an indigo which was pretty cool at the time and did what it was supposed to do.
After a few years of live and plugins I thought it was time to get a proper synth again.I have just shelled out 1500 euro for a used polar thinking go big and proffessional and after the first innitial joy,I am starting to get slightly put off.
Firstly, but maybe thats my fault,I was expecting a lot more oomph soundwise. Was quite shocked to see the same old sounds from years ago,and effects are great but I want also good analog raw power sounds too,not a "woman smothered in perfume & makeup"
I will gladly dig arround and try the new waveforms and capabilities.
The real trouble is what nasty clicks and surprise noise burst and sudden darkness of all the leds are constantly happen when using vc in live.
Yesterday I tried logic and not even the demo song for the virus runs smoothly.
The timing and the arps are all over the place on my 2ghz macbook.
I had this feeling after using an mpc4000 for a few weeks, had to sell it, I dont like the feeling of spending a chunk of money for a product that buggy,I am starting to feel a slight sense of wasting money.
Especially if it doesnt justify its appearance production wise.
anyone dig my vibes?????
cheers
