Default Ti Plug doesn't recognize Desktop Virus Ti ••UPDATE••X2

Mac High Sierra. USB connection. Virus OS 5.1.7

Synth is recognized by DAW and is playable. Open plug in to change preferences and get the "there's no Virus here" screen.

A factory reset has the unit behaving correctly from an audio output standpoint. Firmware has been updated and, according to the screen while doing so, "USB Connection has been established", so I know my connection is good. And unit is in it's own USB port, not in a hub. But now matter what, when I launch the Ti plugin, it states that "No Virus TI can be found". Really frustrating.

Mac OS 10.12 Sierra and higher prevent the extension "Ploytec GmbH" from installing. Restart after installing Virus software, go immediately to System Preferences/Security and Privacy and allow this extension. Problem solved.

For anybody else who might have this problem.
