now i have a question for you guys because that's starting to confuse me a lot. yes, i know that the last year maybe pretty much every pad and bass and noise in "house" productions tend to be send through an compressor which receives a side chain from for instance a kick. but what does this have to do with the virus? the side chain we talk about here is the other way around: send audio into the virus, process it and get it back again. i understand why this is a problem when you want to atomize stuff, but in which way does it become a problem when you want this "house" sound? the virus has no compressor, all you could do is filter another track and/or put effects on it.
