Default Help M3.....

Hello,

Was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction..

I have been trying to make this type of kickbass with my virus B....

http://low-end.com/DMZ/Sound_1.mp3

I have been told by many of people to go find an 808 and layer with some other drum parts distort and compress to make this type of sound. I don't want to go and get an 808 when I have this wonderfully versatile piece of lovely synth called a virus?. There is got to be a way to get that 808 type of boomy kickbass out of my virus? I am getting really frustrated with it and I would think that it could be made with the virus, can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
M

why dont you just use some really good Wav samples of sum 808 kicks?

you dont have to go and buy an 808 just to get that sound!!

fair enough you can try and recrate it but wav samples much easier

Or get a ER-1 and tweak it, when i had mine i did similar kicks with it.. and a ER-1 doesnt cost that much and you dont have to hassle with CV/Gate-2-midi.
