The 64 waveforms, on the Virus A??
Hi there People
Wether any of you now have the first little monster is an issue itself, but would anyone be so kind as to ether guide me to this answer, as what those waveforms are, i know some sounds on the A, are D50, ish, and definitely, PPG, ish, but I wonder if theres an official list, ive not found one on my travels.
Would be most thankful
Emp
P.S. If your mad or insane and you want to buy me a Christmas present the new Virus would be lovely!!

Dare I be so cheeky :P , as to ask is there also a list , of what type in description they are, i can define bell , digital, and a couple of organs, but the rest, i wonder wether they are samples of a PPG, and where they originate from, thanks for any help.

Hi Emporer, I emailed Access about a year ago to ask if there were any details for each of the said waveforms, like where they were sampled and where they came from etc., but they said there was no accompanying info.
Probably did that to save their ass from copyright infringements, etc.

Thanks Timo,
Yes the PPG sound does sound very Authentic, so it most probably is a sample of it, I would just like to know as It would be nice and quick when editing a sound, 64 = organ, or 45 = PPG, just so you can dial in sounds a bit quicker. Thing is I had an Access A 2 years ago and sold it, and it had some Rob Papen sounds in it, and was was excellent, and i think it used the PPG waves. I know what question this brings up. "why not download the Soundset"?.
Well to be honest im a midi dunce, Ive only ever played one workstation at a time in the past, and now i have 11 boards and modules, so im gonna have to learn how to control everything on my Trinity.
I would like to know how to download a soundset into my virus, using my trinity, the midi leads from my puter. ( I have no Software VST's, or sequencer, only ever used hardware). So I am a Midi dunce.
Please be gentle!!

I don't know if there's a way to know how the waves sound judging by the waveform structure. There will be some boffin out there who could enlighten us I'm sure.

That would be great, if anyone knows and could take a guess or two.

I was wondering...
the waveforms are most likely a part of the OS. So in theory they could be sniffed out of any version of the OS... or even better, they could potentially be replaced by custom waveforms.
Anyone ever dug into this? I don't know enough about OS-images to go looky-looky myself. But there probably is 64x(wave-resolution) bytes describing all these waves somwhere in the OS-image?
