organ patch
have any of you guys checked out that gospel organ patch listed under original sounds in the virus yahoo group? it sounds very realistic(for the virus) and it is very easy to tweak it around a little bit and come up with another equally good organ patch.

well yeah, i could see how a motif would be better for that kind of thing but the cool thing about the virus is that you can tweak it around and start to get something that sounds a lot funkier like what john medeski might use.

The Virus can do some very good organ style patches. I remember programmign one off the Virus KC once. Juho has done some very nice organ patches.
On Band Aid '85 you can watch the keyboard guy (Simple Minds) play an organ type synth sound on the OB8. Ive come close to the classic Oberheim sound.....

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....

Promega3... Mostly unknown (and old?) synth -> Big 88-key keyboard with "a new cool DSP system" -> bloody expensive?
I haven't seen that synth anywhere. I listened to the demos and seems that only useable sound is the grand piano and maybe the clav. The Rhodes sounded like a mixup of Rhodes and DX7 piano.
It would be cheaper to get Roland FP-2 (pianos) or Electro2 (Rhodes, Hammond, clav). By the way do you have the original Motif or ES?
