Spectrum Analyzer interpretation

yo!

who can help me understand the spectrum anlyzer curves ? i know it shows frequencies but how to interpret it ? how should a good mix's curve look like and what are the different types of analysis ? i mean do all the analyzers show the same curve (basic SX analyzer and Waves PAZ for eg.) ?

When using PAZ analyzer, first of all don't forget to click twice on the 40hz
button untill it shows 10hz - that's to "see" what's going on with low-end
from 250hz and down. Then check out your favorite tunes trough the
analyzer to see how a perfect mix should look like - visually.

In your sequencer you better insert the analyzer into master-effects,
to be able checking out each instrument on solo trough it.

Dont forget....

First and foremost, rely on your ears, NOT on your eyes!

A spectrum analyzer can be usefull if you hear some problems or discrepancies, and then a quick check on the analyzer to confirm suspicions etc....
