Default New Tannoy Range

Anyone checked these out/ or maybe thinking about a purchase?

The specs look great, but the precision range is a little pricey...

Im considering getting the 8 inch passive version (the 8D actives would be great, but again, a little pricey).

The Tapco's are nice, but the top end detail cannot match even the 5 inch reveals we had on loan here recently. (unfortunately the bass response from the reveals just doesnt cut it).

cheers

Yeah i dont really like 2.1 setups - thats why I am leaning towards the 8inch version.

I was considering some dynaudio bm5a's, but again - Im not sure they would provide sufficient bottom end detail. The bm6's are just a little out of my price range unfortunately, or thats what I would be buying.

cheers

if you mean the new 'artist' range - then no.
they are actually quite expensive too - and I really dont trust anything with less than 6.5" subs to reproduce accurate low end

cheers

No i mean the 7 inch passive model,ANF-10.
A good match for them will be the alesis RA150 or RA300,or maybe a hafler amp if you can afford the high end
They sell as a boundle here for around 1000 euro for the monitor and amp so it must be cheaper in europe.

ADAM monitors reach up to 35khz of spectrum!
Yeah right, are these monitors for humens or dogs?

Is your studio acusticly treated?
its not use spending big money on monitors and not be able to take full use of them\do wrong use with them dou to untreated room.

yeah weve made a bit of an effort to treat reflections using about 10 eggshell mattress overlays which you can kind of see in the pics i posted in these two threads:
