Novation products
I decided that I had enough with waiting for the TI so I'll be getting a few other things instead
A lot of Novation users in here?
I'm wondering if the Novation KS4 engine is similar or the same as the NOVA/Supernova engine since I'm not sure what to get between a Nova II and a KS4.
Thanks

I'm talking about the KS4 which is multitimbral (4 parts and 16 voices) which is not bad for what I need.
But yeah the Nova II seems like a sure bet!

The V-station is the same engine as the K-station. Give it a whirl before you buy the hardware. You might save yourself some $$ to put towards other gear.

Get a Nova X II if you can (49 key version of the Supernova 2) You can pick them up on sospubs for about ?400 and they are great little boards. I personally think the novas have a better sound than the KS range. A bit more darker, grittier, harsh. The KS stuff is a bit light and poncy

I'd say if you're thinking of the K range, you're better off going with the V-station.
The Nova range do have a differenet sound I rekon. I haven't researched why though - maybe it's my ears playing tricks on me.
A mate of mine has a Nova and I really liked the thing. When I played the K station after playing the Nova I was dissapointed.

I've got a Nova (16 voice) and a Bass Station rack (original one)
I love the Nova and use it all the time. The bass station collects dust and the only reason I haven't sold it is because of the midi to cv gate converters that I plan on using to control my SH101 when I get it

Isn't the BassStation (moreso the Superbassstation) meant to be a 303 clone, or something? Is it VA or true analogue?
