I've been playing with one. They sure are great sounding machines acctually. I didn't think they wouldn't sound so good. The filters are _great_ (Then again, i am used to Reason's 3.0 filters so..) The oscillators are really great aswell but then again it was a CS10 that has been in the repairshops the last month so.. Well. In overall i really liked what i heard i'd love to own a cs-x0 someday aswell

One of the most underated analogues out there, with one of the most aggressive filters - and considering you can run an external input into it, you get a cheap analogue filter box too! The bass that can come from this thing is warm and full. Amazing what a single OSC can do.
Go to my soundclick site and look for the CS10 demos there. Only a taste of what it can do.
Run it through a distortion and delay and you're in heaven.
Be carefull though Jase - you will be opening a can of worms getting an analogue.

Yeah...I know! I got a taste of good analogue design with the Studer console.
It's not cheap (CS10) but it looks in good nick. From Japan actually....
I might just bite the bullet and grab it. My GAS is really starting to hurt!

Hollow, did you get this one midified with a kenton kit or are you using some new analog machine as a cv\gate box?

450 dollars is rather a high price to pay for the cs10...
2 midify it will cost you another 80-100$ ...
You can get an sh101 for half the price i belive.
But then again if your gas is uncontrolable go for it.

Niether. I just play straight from the keyboard on the thing.
Although with some of those demos on my soundclick page, I recorded straight into the sampler, then triggered the samples with an appegiator, but running the outputs of the sampler back into the CS10's input - got a double pass of the filters that way and also gave me a computer synced feel. It's actually a reasonable keyboard to play live (for bass of course).
That is pretty steep for one Jase. I got mine in mint condition (never loses tune at all and no scratchy knobs or anything) with an original hard case for around $120aus if I remember correctly - fucking bargin though!!! Recently the prices do seem to be going up on them for sure, but still $450us is pricey.
Maybe let me know before the next ausi trip as it's too late to grab one now. I have to stop in at Sydney before heading to my home town, so maybe we could work something out.
EDIT: Of course as the PSUs are inside the things, you'd have to grab a transformer or something if buying from overseas Jase.

Thanks for the offer! But I already succumbed to the GAS and bought it. It was expensive, but in the end it's an old analogue mono, and worth it for me.
