Default Korg Electribes

Looks like Korg are doing closeout deals on the Electribe machines.
I picked up an ER1-mk2 for half price yesterday.

I only use analogue drums via the Microtonic plugin, so this will be an ideal hardware replacement without shelling out for the machinedrum.

Thats what I thought Threlly....but, the ER-1mkII is definately no replacement for a Machinedrum. It is fun, but limited...

OK for throwing up a loop and jamming with buddies

I know, but I like the whole less is more thing, the problem with the machinedrum is I'd spend the next 5 years pissing about rather than actually writing music.
It sometimes gets that way with the TI, but luckily Access put a crash'n'burn bug in it which brings me round !!!

The ER1 is cheap and it does just enough to get the right atmos in the track, lets face it, you could do a whole track with the machinedrum by itself !!

I had an EM-1 that I only used for drum sounds and I thought it was ace, but I flogged it and got Battery 2 for my laptop - way more flexible

Another great option if you allready have a V-Synth/V-Synth XT is a hardware midi pattern sequencer (MD works)

V-Synth is a wicked beat machine
