Who's seen a good movie recently then?
My neighbour gave me his complete collection of err, downloaded movies 2 weeks ago. Mostly shite, but some surprises too:
Happy Endings (this stars Steve Coogan)
The Rookie (Disney movie, but a great story for kids and us wrinklies alike)
Sin City (I'd never even heard of it!)
Lost in Translation (Had to think of our own HC whilst watching this)

Superman (shit - predicatable - good acting by main guy (looks lots like chris reeve)
Pirates of carribean 2 (not bad - drags a little in places - leaves you hanging at the end as there is a third one coming)
Miami vice (what a let down - awesome visuals and cinematography let down by weak plot and very slow at times)
My super ex-girlfriend (moderately humorous predictable comedy)
The worlds fastest indian (slightly older but what a film - awesome acting by sir tony hopkins - great (true!) story - feel good movie for the guys - awesome!)

Sin City is a stragely entertaining film. Its got an original feel to it.
One of my biggest recent dissapointments was a film called 'Serenity' What a load of drivel.

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....

Can't remember the last time I went to a cinema either. It's way too loud, and the seats are the most uncomfortable ever, they're fucking awful.
And a little piece of popcorn ALWAYS gets stuck at the back of my throat so that I have a major coughing fit, lol.

Good movies.....
I haven't seen anything new for along time now. Releases are always a fair while behind here.
I did see "lost in translation" though. Didn't think a lot of it, although understanding some of the Japanese being said created a bit more of an interesting feel to the movie. I've lived far more story worthy things here in real life!

There is something wrong with you. Seriously.
Did you watch Firefly (tv series) before seeing Serenity? If not then you made a mistake, as the series sets up the scene and explains a hell of a lot of what is going on.
Good movies I have seen recently...
Tristam Shandy (a cock and bull story) - stars Steve Coogan as well. Very post-modern and I really enjoyed it but won't be everyone's cup of tea.
Clerks 2 - funny as fuck, Kevin Smith at his best.
And one to avoid completely, Ultraviolet. DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE IT SUCKS IN EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE.

I hardly watch movies at all. Only few per year, and most of them are ones I've seen before. This year I haven't watched any new movies. With delicate deduction I come up to a conclusion that movies are low form of entertainment, or I'm lazy. I'd bet on the low form of entertainment choice.
