Default Ray Charles

or Ray Robinson....

I'm watching the Ray Charles film (Ray) - I love these biography films of old artists...

Wow - he had a hell of a life!

Good film - I recommend it!

As for why I'm in on a Saturday night watching a film - blame the missus - she drank a shedload of Absynthe last night and is now "Feeling ill" so we can't go out Fucking Absynthe...
Saying that - we met over a bottle of Absynthe, 5 years ago...

Agreed! Very cool movie...

I didnt know much about Ray Charles... and it opened my eyes to what an extraordinary musician he was.

What am I doing on a Saturday night? Just been out for an awesome Japanese meal in San Francisco, now Im going up to my room to unpack my gear and set it up for tomorrow. We have a shoot with some transgender SF natives...

I haven't seen that movie yet, but I can recommend "Walk the line". Which is based on Johnny Cash's life.. Great movie indeed!

Ray Charles. Guy was a simply awesome composer and artist. One of the biggest influences on modern music ever. Motown, Rock and roll, everything.

hehehe....

We are filming a series for National Geographic called "Taboo". They look at all sorts of cool tribes, rites of passage, gender taboos etc...

All shot in HD, and will be showing sometime in 2007. This is series 4. We went to this crazy tattoo parlour in San Jose to interview a guy who practices traditional japanese tattooing. It was like a scene from a movie, next door to a Harley workshop, with massive Mexicans with their long hair in a big plait, and a guard dog at the gate
