Treasures from the dump pile
I'm working at Kouvola health center and we were collecting obsolete and broken stuff from the wards to be thrown to the dump. You never believe what kind of stuff they are throwing away! About 80% of the stuff is completely useful furniture and other items.
So today I saved few things fro the dump pile: Samsung ML-1210 600dpi laser printer with a spare colour cartridge and Samsung SyncMaster 757dfx CRT-display. The printer had a problem in the paper intake system, but I got it fixed in no time. The monitor had been dropped on a floor so that the case had moved a bit. I opened it up and reattached the case. Nothing wrong with the display otherwise. All this was going to the dump and I saved them for free. There are still loads of office desks, shelves, an armchair, benches, a working TV... I wonder what the hell prevents them to recycle this stuff!
