Default Things i find really odd and strange about the TI

1st: I just registered on this forum so i guess an Hello everyone nice to meet you is in order..

2nd: Why is the virus-control unable to handle buffers lower than 256samples
to me it seams it is only the graphics that doesn't handle it.. as it works perfectly with 48samples as long as i am not touching the knobs on the software control and no activity is viewable like the midi peak meters on the channels. yep they are always showing and i am getting crackles but it can be helped out just by moving a window (mixer, VSTfx ect.) over the meters so they don't show.. and then its rock solid.. LOL

3rd: Why is Cc Midi data disabled when loading the virus control. i personally find it ALLOT! easier to record automation using CC control data hit record and twist some knobs.. instead of using the R/W vst automation.

4th: and this is the one i find the most odd!..What the hell is up with the delay effect in the TI ? it is not capable of doing a dotted 4th (6/16) which is one of the most used delays.. and why the heck is clock 1/4, 1/2 the same? also 3/16, 3/8 & 3/4 are the same.. and 1/3 and 2/3 are the same..

Still a grate synth though!

1) you're welcome

2) VC handles buffers fine down to 64 samples, below it gets unpredictable and very dependent if you sequencer support e.g. 32 samples and of course your hardware. if <256 doesn't work for you you need to tell us more about your setup in order to help you.

3) the virus still receives CC data even in virus control mode. you can switch to Remote Control mode and select the Virus A-B-C template to try that out.

4) the delays all work. the maximum delay time is something like 623ms - if you exceed that by choosing a low tempo and a small divider the virus automatically will choose the next possible preset. if you miss a certain value, calculate it and use a manually chosen delay time.

best, marc

Thanx Marc

That was some competent feedback i didn't expect to get! as i thought
the delay issue was a bug..will however double check on that..
yes i know i could just set the delay in ms. had to complain

About the buffer size.. "The claim " that it didn't support bellow 256 samples came directly from tech support..
my system is running fine at 48 samples as long as i dont have the graphics showing from the Virus Control Center. if you still think you can help my specs are listed bellow.

Will also checkout the midi CC thingy.. if this works you made my day!
thanx mate
