Default What sounds do I have?

Hi All!

Two questions :

There doesn't seem to be any listing of the factory installed sounds, or the OS4.9-1024 patches, so :

1) Does this look like the factory sound set? Or are there some aftermarket sounds here?

http://www.rebornonline.com/images/as-delivered.jpg

I'd just like to know before I start messing with them !

2) Also, I tried to back up all the sounds, but looking at the sysex, there's only the first two banks, is that because the others are hard coded?

Thanks

Griff

Hi there!

I have the same banks as you from C through to H. I think this is referred to as the "best of" set (compilation) that was latterly released with the Virus Classic and Operating System v4+.

However, I don't think I've ever seen or used the first two (in your banks A and B)! Which sets are they from? Actually on closer inspection I think your bank B is either a Vengeance set, or one of the freebie Trance sets.
Bank A on yours looks like it's part of the 1024 patch set as it has the initials of the designer (QR) like the others.

When I bought my Indigo second hand the guy before me had bought the Manuel Schleis (Vengeance) sets, so they were on mine in banks A and B. Now they're just an amalgamation of my own patches. But banks C-H are the same as yours (albeit in a different order).

Thanks Timo! I'll be sure to back these up and keep them in a safe place.

If must admit, the sound banks do seem to be pretty much randomly placed, it's very hard to find a sound based on a theme. I guess I'll get used to it!

Just to go off topic a little, I had a play with the vocoder last night, very impessive when combined with the arpeggiator! I stuck a drumloop through the voc and arp, and came out with this http://www.rebornonline.com/mp3/masteranth-theme.mp3

It's very rough I know, but shows what an insprational bit of kit the Virus is
