Default Determining sample rate of Virus TI

Given that the Virus Ti can operate at a variaty of sample rates depending if the USB and/or D/A analog outs are being used, how does one determine what the real internal sampler rate is at any given time?

In short, I would like to know given the 192khz/24bit audio outputs, if the audio is really being generated at 192khz/24bit internally. When USB is in use, is the Virus simply down-sampling the high bit-rate audio to fit the USB pipe? Or is the virus up-sampling for the 192khz outputs?

I assume you realize why this is important. Thanks!

I've heard it said by Access reps that its just multiples of 44.1 or 48.
eg, 88.2khz = 44.1 x 2
