Default Access finally admit RTAS problems

The following are quotes from a press release made by access 4 YEARS AGO..

OS 2.5 for Virus TI features a RTAS version of Virus Control for Digidesign Protools M-Powerered, LE and TDM users, plus optimisations for Imageline FL Studio 7 among other new features.
Since their Pro Tools and Vista beta tester base is too small, Access say that they have made this build available as a public beta in order to insure that all possible issues have been ironed out. They have tested this version for several month and recommend it for all users who are willing to enjoy the benefits and report their impressions and eventual findings.

The following is a quote from marc schlaile of access made on the thread 'PT8 out of sync with virus TI' on the official access user forum 8 DAYS AGO...

i hope there will be a fix in the next release. at this point in time we're still uncertain what it is. it seems to work in HD, it seems to work in LE but only for a while. what we need to know is that makes it happen.

A fix in the next release? are you shitting me? This has been going on for 4 YEARS FFS & you have blamed everything else BUT this piece of crap software & its not like me & countless others haven't told you about the problems already.
After 4 YEARS you would have thought that 'all possible issues would have been ironed out' or are RTAS users still on beta testing?
THE most annoying thing is, this, as far as I know, is the first time they have actually admitted it doesn't work properly. So for nearly 4 years I have spent hours & hours trying to get something to work that, by there own admission, doesn't.
F**king unbelievable & totally unacceptable on a synth this expensive.

If it makes you feel any better Berni, I once got a temp-ban from this forum for simply saying what I believed to be true about the fubar'ed VC control (it turned out my information was badly outdated, so I was chastized and banned even after I admitted my mistake). LOL

F**k em, I much prefer this forum anyway. I can read the official one all day but there's no way they are letting me post...can't say I blame them. A guy like me telling the truth all over the place cannot be good for sales ' )

It was a large part of why I got the temp ban, and fully consistent with the reasoning in the temp ban dialog which accused me of maliciously spreading misinformation. Keep in mind I did fully admit my information was wrong, and I corrected the information in same thread.

It doesn't really matter now, it's water under the bridge; not really soliciting outside opinions, just relaying the info to Berni so he wouldn't feel that these arbitrary bans like he experienced in the Access forum that are based on kneejerk emotions and subjective feelings are anything new.

Cheers mate, it is really appreciated but not really what this thread is all about. I think I said everything I needed about the ban in a previous thread.

Understood, and if I misconstrued the purpose of your post, I may have inadvertently brought elements of the ban thread into this one. I thought that the ban was due to frustrations you were having with VC, and this thread was confirmation of the existence of problems that got you banned in the first place? In that sense I thought I saw overlap between your situation and mine (i.e. VC issues leading to frustration, frustration ultimately leading to stepping on an admin's toes somewhere). I didn't really mention it in the ban thread because it didn't seem as relevant there.

Anyway, I'm glad to see any sign that Access is starting to take ownership of the VC issues. At the time, it seemed like only one or two others here were having the same kinds of issues with integration as I was, so I chalked a lot of it up to being an early adopter of 64 bit Windows, thus the 64bit Access driver while still running a 32bit DAW and plugins. After I sent the Virus back I started to realize that VC problems seem to be the rule rather than exception. A year and a half later, Access does not seem to have made the progress here I would have expected with software over such a long time frame.

No worries man, & like I said I appreciate the support. I just don't want people to think I started the thread because I got banned (not sure about the temp part) This is not the case, I've been pissed off with them way before that happened & I dont mind telling them so.
Its not just the fact that they have been selling a flawed product for years & have done very little to try & fix it. Its the constant lies & deceit, especially from mr schaile, about the whole thing that really bugs me & to be honest insults my intelligence. I'm pretty sure that for every happy virus owner there is an equally un-happy & disgruntled owner out there if the comments on there user forum are anything to go by.
Still what goes around, comes around & this is about ready to bite them in their own asses big time. You cant keep bullshitting people forever & after 4 years of hearing the same old crap & lame excuses, I for one have had enough.
