Default Blown audio output?

Hi guys..

I have a ti desktop mk1 and the sound has gone (or at least is incredibly quiet).

I should point out I'm not using the TI side - I'm using with my hardware sequencer with the analog outs to a mixer. I was happily playing along one day and just as I created a new track on midi channel 2 on my sequencer the sound cut out. I orginally thought it was a midi issue (CC7 being sent by mistake or something) but this is not the case.

I have reset (hold arp edit), re-flashed (re-installed using virus control centre) and tried different outputs including the headphones, analog outs 2 and 3 and even tried the spdif out and the problem is the same. If I turn master volume up to 127 and use demo mode you can just about hear the virus over the signal/noise mess and everything appears to functioning.. ie. knobs are changing values/sound correctly but VERY VERY quiet. Sounds like the output stage has blown or something.

Has anyone got an idea or had similar? I've contacted access and they were initially very quick but only got me to do re-sets etc which I had already told them I had tried. I guess it will need to go back to them but just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Thanks very much! Gutted this has happended - haven't had it long at all (<2months) - i had just swapped it for my perfect ti polar as wanted a rackmount...regret that now!

Geoff

Default

unplug all the audio connectors and the usb,
get a pair of headphones with a fat plug that you know to be working (1/8th inch I think) play notes using the midi input or use the SHIFT + SEARCH on the hardware to trigger sounds.
Make sure you have the hardware volume turned up full.
Put the headphones in each of the Outputs 1L then 1R then 2L etc... while triggering sounds.
You should try MULTI MODE and set output to 2LR and 3LR and try them.
See how you go.
