Only banks A and B can be saved, and you can easily overwrite anything in those 256 spots. As for "basic" sounds, that's totally subjective. Find a patch that's close to what you want, and start writing your own. When done, save it in either of the first 2 banks.

It can be a bit overwhelming just starting out, so many knobs, functions, variables. You may want to look for info on basic analog synthesis, and get the hang of what is what, (oscillators, LFO's, filters, envelopes, etc), before diving in too deep. Or, on the other hand, sometimes twisting knobs without knowing why creates "happy accidents", which can also be alot of fun. Enjoy!

The patch is called INIT, maybe you got one in your Virus?
I could send you one, but really, it takes like 5 minutes to create, top ))
