Default Applying effects to tracks in Cubase

Hi, hopefully someone can help,

At the moment I'm using NI Battery on 1 track in Cubase for all my percussion. The thing is, I'm not sure if I'm working in the right way at the moment.

I get some beats going and then record the each instrument into separate Audio tracks in Cubase where I can then apply all the effects.

At the end of it though if I don't like what's recorded though I have to record it again into an Audio track and then go through applying the effects all over again.

It seems a bit time-consuming. Is there an easier way to apply loads of effects to individual instruments in Battery before it's recorded to audio?
