~Welcome to Planet Virus~
As Juho said, you will need to plug the audio outputs of your virus into the inputs of your soundcard, or into an external mixer so you can monitor what you are playing.
A small mixer is a good/cheap option that will also enable expansion in the future (ie if you add more synths to your setup) and will also enable you to control your volume to your monitors (speakers)
If you dont have a mixer, you will need to enable a stereo channel in SX and click on the "monitor" icon so you can hear the Virus.
You will also need to set up a new MIDI device in SX, and there are a few things within SX and the Virus that you will need to setup so that your system is optimised for using the Virus with a sequencer (SX)
I strongly suggest that you go to your local Hi-Tech music store and ask someone there if they will come to your house to do an install for you. They will be able to go through your system with you and make sure everything is set up correctly, and also teach you a few things.
You will find this an enormous help, and it will save you some headaches of posting in forums where people are not so willing to write a short story on "how to setup a home studio", and also you can have your questions answered there and then when someone is right there to help you.
I did it, and it saved me days of fucking around!!!!
Good luck!
Jase
