Default HELLO THERE. NEW VIRUS B USER FROM SCOTLAND

Hello there. I am a 23 year old guy from Glasgow in Scotland. I just recently bought a G5 mac and a load of studio equipment which included an Access Virus B. I am looking forward to learning how to produce music and I will be spcecialising in dance music. I know that you can either have 3 stereo outpus from the Virus b or 6 mono outputs. I am needing help as to how to set this up. I have currently just got one output from it just now as I am not sure how to set this up. Any advice would be appreciated.

thanks

yo!

you would need to look for the midi out port on your soundcard. connect the midi out to the midi in port on the virus. then using 1/4" TRS jack to 1/4 " TRS jack (the big headphone jack to jack cables) you would connect the left and right audio out (L/Phones R/Mono one) to 2 audio inputs on your soundcard (which will correspond to left and right stereo channels). that will enable you to play back sound from the virus and record sound from it. make sure you assign your soundcard a MIDI port and make sure that your MIDI playback device is set to send MIDI data from that port.

about the g5...you have my ENVY. 8O

Welcome!

About the outputs; I usually run 2 stereo pairs out of my Virus. To set this all up, (from memory) it's all in the main edit menu.

Hello there again. I am just using some speakers I had before I bought all the studio equipment. I am currently reading up about monitors so I can find out what ones are the best for my budget. I have been looking at some second hand Yamaha NS-10's and some KRK rockits. Any suggestions anyone. I will be specialising in dance music.

Thanks
