Default FX Delay sync!

Hello there..
I just have a little question...

I use cubase sx and I like to put a little "Swing" on the midinotes to make the beat more "groovy" u know.. but the problem is that the Virus Delay gets out of sync.. (just a tad! but it doesnt sound good..)
is it possible to get it in "sync" again??

If anybody knows what i'm talking about, please respond

thx!

Make sure you have set the tempo of the virus to match that of the sequencer. If you have a virus c this is done by pressing edit then scrolling thru the menu using the parameter buttons until you get to tempo select. use the softknobs to change the value.

julich, what harry said is correct. Also another way is to have cubase sx send a midi clock signal to the virus so that it automatically stays in sync with cubase as you make tempo changes in your sequencer.

I say go the midi clock route.

Often instruments will have slightly different timing. Even if you choose say 140bpm on the Virus it may not be the same as 140 on your other gear. Having your sequncer controlling the clock is much smoother.

I have all my gear hooked up this way and it halved the time I used to spend setting things up.

Yep, and then check the MIDI-ports that you want to send the MIDI clock to in the "send MIDI clock" section...
