Multies & multi parameter controll
Hello!
So the TI is finaly around the bend? Jiiha!
Well, actualy I have a question about the virus b, witch im using at the moment. (borowing from a friend) When modulating say the cutof on a multi, I cant seem to find out how to affect all the single parts in the multies at the same time, withouth manualy selecting each of them. Is this not possible, and will it be possible on the TI?
Didnt find anything in the manual about it...
Also Ive seriously been trying all posibilities of the virus b, all the wave forms and all the lfo3 options in the menu. Actualy I must say I thought you could do more whith this machine. Iwe so far programed about 60 presets on it, mostly wicked, twisted arpeggio sounds. Last summer I tested the Indigo2 a couple of hours in a shop, and I could swear I got wider results, am I right? Im also considering the TI, but if it is just a virus b on steroids, I see no reason at all to spend all that monny, and rather get a used virus c. I mean i love the total integration, but I dont think the virusB is broad enough sounding, is the TI more versatile?!! Think Id rather get a new pc (as there is lots of good sounding soft synths theece days), and a used virus c..... or do I? Of cource the TI is temting.... but I also need a new laptop, as im working on a 867mhz G4!!! I dont think I can aford bouth.. My friend that boroved me the virusB, does not use it much any more. He use the Vanguard, the Quadra Sid (beter filters then the virus, i swear, and just as good as my elektron monomachine!!!) Imposcar (also great filters) Reaktor stuf, Arturia stuf, AAS stuf, and lots of others, on a pentium M 2ghz, and hes newer abow 50%cpu usage, using 14 imposcars + effects, and other synths!!. Reason he says not using the virus B is that the soft synths sound just as good, or better in total (much broader of cource), and its eazier to have every preset saved in the project. Also using external controllers theece days, is no problem!
Id like to know what people here feel about this, if you dont mind chearing some words? And from they who realy know theyr virus deeply, why will the TI blow my mind?
Best,
Kim
Oh, im doing psychedelic trance by the way if you wondered, thats why good modulating futures are important to me.

You need to to do two things:
a) Set all multu partsparts you wish to affect with the same modwheel sweep to the same midi channel that you send the modwheel from.
b) Make sure all of the patches you hope to control are set to respond to Modwheel in the first place (i.e. in the modmatrix).

Thanks Ben
Well, its a Virus A, not B as I previously thought when I wrote this question, and it does not have a modmatrix.. And it is a desktop version, so it does not have a modweel or a modweel setup config in the menu..
Best,
Kim

Sure it does - look a little deeper in the Single Edit menu.
Assign1 Source = set to Modwheel
Destination = Whatever you like.
