The price right now is ?350. It will be lower if there is more people buying it - It took him and and some other fellas almost 3 years of programming and building it.

Sounds really good Very much my taste. I would seriously consider building one myself if only i wasn?t saving up for a Fantom X7
Edit: Some more specs would be nice though. They don?t really tell much about it. Does it have memory; is it monophonic/polyphonic, multitimbral; is all parameters MIDI-controlable; etc.

I really love it when people create stuff like this! Definitely different to the average home built job too. I'm DLing the sound demos, which should be done when I wake tomorrow - changing my conection finally next month!

I'll say!!! I know where there's a DBX 160s for just over $1000aus and considering I'm currently looking for a new compressor this is so tempting. Not to mention the Mackie SR24-4vlc that I saw selling for $600aus!!! I can't even afford the bargins!
That's enough whinging.

Because the X6 only has 5 octaves. I?m going to use it as a piano (as well as synth of course) because i made a deal with my wife that if my "real" piano could be stored away (to give more space in the livingroom) i could have a Fantom X and 61 keys can be a bit to short sometimes when playing piano. I have considered the X8 but i?m not sure that the hammer-action keys will be good for general synth purpose (an it?s fucking expensive) and the keys on the X6 and X7 fells pretty good.
