Virus for Industrial Music
Yes Im new to this whole forum. Bought a Virus TI in hopes of using it to creat some great industrial music. Still waiting for it to ship. I've heard the other Virus modles and they sound great. They seem to be geard more for trance and Techno, but I believe one of the last truly interesting synths out there.

Welcome The Virus can sertainly be used for trance and techno but for a lot of other genres too. I would see no problem in using it for insustrial. You can get some pretty noisy, nasty and gritty sounds out of it that would fit into industrial quite well (especially if you make your own patches) but it can do a lot more than "dark and evil" sounds and noises (but it?s very good at that). I can?t really think of many genres where i wouldn?t find use for the Virus. Good luck waiting for the TI. Hope they release it some day

hi, I'm new too, but I also think Virus is perfect for industrial music too.
For example, Haujobb use Virus; Project Pitchfork too. Suicide Commando too. Skinny Puppy used a Virus in their latest tour as well...

Hello & Welcome
Some people say the Virus is geared towards dance and trance etc....but in my expereince of synths this is not true. Any synth can be used for *ANY* genre of music. THe whole purpose of a synth is to make it your own. To use presets (if you wish) but to also to program your own sounds. The Virus is very successful amongst the techno fraternity...purely because the presets are good and the tweaking is expansive.
Enjoy your virus....and play it on its strengths

I agree 100%. In fact, the sound of the Virus is perfect for EBM-like basses (think of Covenant, think of Haujobb...); The best about such amazing synths is that they can be used for almost every type of music.
