PCI USB card installed, same bugs 1.05
I purchased a PCI USB card to see whether it would perform differntly to the USB controller on my motherboard as was suggested by Access somewhere on this forum. The symptoms persist, hung notes and a few pops in the audio.
The conditions to make these bugs are:
1. Stress the PCI buss and CPU around 60% to 80%, it helps if you have a Creamware DSP system, they are notorious PCI hogs.
2. Use any of the USB features of the TI.
I don't get these stuck notes if I have a light project running with very little chance of doing full blown mixdown production.
I am thinking a separated PC for my TI is a workable option. Just feed it midi and treat it like a hardware synth. Send the audio back via analog and have a dedicated screen for Virus Control.

Re: PCI USB card installed, same bugs 1.05
I get stuck notes while sequencing constantly, every few minutes or so, with virtually no CPU load. That, and a whole bunch of other problems.

PS the only workaround for stuck notes is to pull out the USB cable and send the ti midi from a midi interface. I have finnished projects this way. You have to re-assign all your midi tracks for the port change and sometimes it doesn't work, ie Virus doesn't like being unplugged and wont switch to manual midi etc. The order of pulling out USB cable / turning off Virus control etc. Actually I remember you had to save your VC preset then unload the VC and unplug the USB cable first, this way the TI stays in SEQ MODE and then unloading the VC plugin resets the ports so you can assign normal midi to the TI.

I have the exact same problems as you guys. I wonder is it only people using RME cards with the TI that have these problems? Is it only on the PC these problems are seen or is it the MAC as well?

All those with 'Stuck notes using usb' list their setups.
Athlon 64 3400

Gigabyte k8nsnxp - (ddr400, agp 8x, nvidia nforce3)
Ati Raidon 9200 gfx w 128 meg ram, agp
RME Fireface 800 - plugged in using fw400 cable.
Creamware Pulsar 1 pci card, linked to fireface w 2xADAT light pipes.
Windows XP Pro SP1
Cubase SX 3.02
have tried 3rd party pci usb card - little or no difference.
