Anyone managed to run the TI software with a Hub?

Hey there.

Am about to acquire a TI keyboard (woohoo!!!) but have read in Sound on Sound that you can't connect it to a hub. The problem for me is that am running my studio on a Powerbook 17" with only two USBs, which are obviously already in use (one for the Mbox2, which will not work thru a hub, i tried, and the second for....a hub!, which i cannot do without because its mainly used for $@?^*%@! software dongles).
Though, its a Powered Hub, so i was wondering if their was any chance that would work. So, if anyone has managed it, please reply.
Otherwise, I'll have to use it only via Midi........until I get a Desktop.

the virus ti will not allow you to use a hub.

Buy a USB2.0 PCMCIA card for a laptop then connect all the other crap into that and all the Great stuff Virus Ti and soundcard into your powerbook (1 usb connection can connect upto 127 devices,or was it 128????)..Problem sorted..By the way how is your Mbox2 running???I Presume your running it on Pro tools

Thanks for the reply, i hadn't thought about this PCMCIA thing. Though, i don't know what would be compatible with my mac, any ideas?
On the other hand, the Mbox2 is cool. it feels sturdy compared to the first model, plus it can be used as a midi interface as well, which is perfect for laptop users. But at the end of the dayy it's still a cheap audio interface, nothing amazing and to be honest, i just got it because i needed ProTools. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have bothered as I already have an Xstation. Plus, with protools mpowered, now you can get the software running on a selection of Maudio interfaces, which seems like an interesting alternative, except you have to buy the software separatly...
Anyhow, if anyone knows about a PCMCIA extension card that would expand my laptops USB capacity, let me know!

I don't know nothing about MACs but if your only running dongles,printers and alike off it then it probably won't matter.Allthough i do know that PCMCIA firewire runs best with Texas instrument chips...
