why is the remote mode "new"?
its actually an original feature never implemented.
:P :P :P
"It is lightning fast and can literally search ten thousand patches in a couple of milliseconds."
are you sure that is "literal". I am not sure i can belive this outlandish claim.

Its possible that it uses 'Google'....because that too can search thousands of things in seconds

Will it be sample accurate?
I sure do hope so
If only the timing could be PERFECT.

That is the only thing that would be interesting.
"Patch name search" - bah, how useless is THAT ! It would be better to concentrate on better patches (only HansJ?rg Scheffler did a great job here) so that you don?t need thousands to make them fit to your music...
Btw., which mailing list ? Is there some more detailled info about the bug-fixes ?
Cheers,
Matthias

Stooopid me. Found the list.
Well, I feel a little bit fooled when I read Marc?s posts concerning the "better USB than MIDI for accurate timing".
I experience the opposite. Over the MIDEX8 (an Access product) I get absolutely accurate timings out of most of my synths. NordLead2 is the most perfect machine, having just a random deviation of <1ms. But the TI also works fine here, with a deviance between 0,5 and 1,5 ms.
Over USB these values are impossible. I tried several USB controllers, but it?s always the same picture. The Virus has a deviance of up to 8 (!!!!) ms. It?s completely random, unlike MIDI (where it get?s worse the more data is sent, especially continous controllers). It sounds like unquantized sequences.
I?ll wait for 1.1 before I make a claim of refund against Kemper Digital GmbH.
Greetings
Matthias

The Midex 8 is a Steinberg midi 8i/o usb unit, nay?
Also, no news about additions/updates regarding the actual sound itself? Filters, user wavetables, etc.?
I'd best change my sig, then.....
