Hi there,

Im new to the forum, and new to a virus! So here's my message to introduce myself to the weird and wonderfull world of online virus discussions

For those that are interested, I have been DJ'ing for 6 years, play a mix of chunkyhouse and breakbeat and have been producing now for about two to three years. I also play the piano

Until yesterday (yay) ive been predominontly working with Soft Synths, but have just picked up a VirusB 2nd hand and am enjoying it so far.

My set up, at the moment is:
P3 HP Laptop
2 x Yamaha msp5 Monitors
1 X tascam US-122 Audio interface
1 X M Audio FW Audio Interface
1 X Korg Electribe Ryhtm Sythesizer
1 X Korg Microkonrol
Ableton Live
Assortment of other software

I could really do with some help with something to start me off if thats cool..

Ive have been frantically spending the last couple of months trying to put together 3 tracks for a demo to be ready in March. The purchase of the virus is to help me, though, my virus doesn't seem to have many 'summery', housey pre-sets to work with (most of them are quite gruyngy).

Now I know the dirt is something the virus is great at and the reason I bought it, but, as I need to go for a bit more of a summery sound in time for the summer, does anyone know where I can get some patches that are 'brighter' or more summery, if that makese sense?

Welcome to the forum!

A few tweaks and some EQ to the presets should change the sounds, the virus is capable of more than just devastating, dark bass and leads/pads. Spend some time making some adjustments to sounds that are close.
