February has come and gone......
And no v1.10 !!
I wonder when access will change the announcement on their site ?
I'm looking at the options to replace my older kit and the TI looks tempting.
Listening to the problems some users are having I would be mad to buy one before v1.10 appeared, but here we are in the month of March with no v1.10 !!
Hmmmmm

Only if the VC aspect is of paramount importance to you, and you don't believe they'll ever get it sorted out.
I bought a TI Polar a couple of days ago from a store with a 30-day return policy (Guitar Center in Chicago). After loading OS 1.0.9 (via USB), I simply connected the Polar to my rig using MIDI cables and the 1/4" outputs. After playing with the Polar for maybe a dozen hours, in single, multi, and sequencer modes, it appears as though the instrument works perfectly.
As a standalone synth, the TI has many enhancements vs my old Indigo. Although a new Polar is expensive (I paid $2400US), I would have bought it in a second even without any promise of VC functionality.
I, too, am looking forward to Access making the whole Virus Control aspect live up to its hype. But I run DP, which VC isn't compatible with (although supposed to be in 1.1, I think).
I am making great music (I hope ) with my TI as is. And someday - hopefully soon - Access will get all the bugs worked out of VC - and then, IMHO, the Polar will be worth twice the money I paid for it.

Updates don't usally get released on time due to fine tweaking, bug fixing, etc...
Lets wait as when it comes it will be a better update for all of us
It's frustrating, I understand as I own a TI desktop

LOL. It's actually a full beard in that photo, but given the large patches of grey and white that have taken up residence in my facial hair, I guess it looks like sideburns.
Sigh. The pleasures of middle-age....

Tee-hee...
How do you rate the Abysnth 3? (It's a toss up between this and Spectrasonics Atmosphere)

I haven't found Absynth 3 to be particularly useful, but that may be due in part to my lack of investment in time to really learn how to play with it. It comes with lots of presets, many of which I would put more in the category of sonic effects vs musical instruments. Lots of dark, shimmering, vaporous, cataclysmic, clangorous, ethereal, metallic, soundscapes that are likely very well-suited for mood-evoking film scoring projects. It's possible to generate some profoundly wicked and downright scary sounds with Absynth, that frequently scare the shit out of my wife (my little studio is in the extra room next to our bedroom).
I've never played Atmosphere, so I can't compare.
