Default UADs RE-201 emulation

Hi Guys,

I have been waiting for this longer than OS1.1 of the TI. Wahoo - its here!

Can't wait to upload the new UAD Firmware and then test it out! And I qualify for the discount voucher as I have bought the other 2 Roland emulations (CE-1 and Dimension D)

GET'IN!!!

Do the UA guys only release PCI cards? I'd love to get their stuff for my laptop (via firewire/usb/PCI-ExpressCard) but it seems there's nothing for non-desktops... =/

Somebody makes an external PCI cage for laptops that connects via the PCMCIA/cardbus slot, can't remember who though.

Magma...

http://www.mobl.com/expansion/produc...ion/index.html

Rumour is UA might be announcing some kind of successor to the UAD1 at the Musikmesse in Germany this year. Wouldnt mind a 4x powerful pci-e version myself

Those Magma's are the way to go for expansion - so expensive though.

You can sometimes find some decent deals on ebay for them.

I am crossing that bridge atm, I have run out of PCI slots -

2 UADs
2 RME (1 HDSP and 1 8in)
1 Wireless card
1 extra Firewire port

Think I may remove the firewire as I have no room for my Powercore. Can live with one less Firewire...

Been eyeing up the UAD stuff for a while too. But as I'll probably upgrade my PC later this year, am holding out in the hope of a PC-Express version in the not to far future...

having money is a pain isnt it?

the MAGMA pci to PCMCIA is fucking expenssive, maybe worth it if your runing a massive protools HD setup but not if runing a creamware or UAD system IMO.

The RE-201 is awsome i have been testing it and it soundz gr8 but they could have made more avantgarde stuff (i believe they will update it with some more usefull features of the modern delay units),but like it is right now, it soundz amazing
A big problem for some users with only one card, will be the processing power needed to have this beauty running !!

Any of you UAD-1 owners has the other Roland Classic Bundle??

Im thinking in buying the whole bundle for $400US
