I think they generally do the same thing...

Never tried PEAK though. Wavelab is pretty well featured. Im using Spark XL at the moment, but since it is dicontinued, I am doomed to forever live in OSX 10.3.9 unless I buy PEAK, which will put me out by around AUD$1000.

Fuck that, so many other things $1000 could buy...

I know Wavelab quiet well and I have heard that Wavelab has got some features more than Peak. So I'm interested in what Wavelab makes better. I already know that I don't like the GUI of Peak - looks horrible and the Mastersection isn't that user friendly too. I don't know how that section is called in English but the "non-destructiv section" is in Wavelab much better as well (had to make a little Speech cut exercise in School with Peak)

Would be cool to get some more informations......don't think that Steinberg or BIAS is interested in giving me some informations about the other company

I'm a Mac user, and I use Soundforge on the PC.
The Mac editors just don't have the right 'feel' if thats the right word.
They tend to be very picky about format conversion and such.

Thanks for the heads up Merlot!!!

Your recommendations are always good (Still loving Iron&Wine!)

Does it come with any decent mastering plugs (multi-band compressors, maximisers etc)??

Jase,
It comes with your standard eq's and such. Nothing really suitable for mastering though (I think). To be honest I have not even touched the included plugs. What is cool about this is you can also you it as a virtual instrument rack too (think V-stack). Load up an audio slot assign a VI and set the output port and record to hardware or soft alike.
