Default Boss CE-300 Chorus

I will get a Boss CE-300 analog chorus tomorrow.

I've been thinking of purchasing the Boss CE-1 chorus for UAD1 which sound really nice but I noticed that somebody's selling his CE-300 so I decided to purchase the real thing instead of a plugin. It should sound similar to Juno 106's chorus but you can tweak the sound instead of 2 presets. At least the Juno's chorus was super fat so I believe I will have alot of fun with the CE-300 too.

Ok, now the Boss is sitting in my rack. After cleaning the unit inside out it looks nice in the rack and sounds superb! Listen to this demo: http://www.quandace.com/F5D_A6_BossCE300.mp3

I play my favourite song, Terminator theme in the demo and turn the chorus on at 1:10. Before that I only tweak the A6's filter cutoff. The CE300 sounds smooth and very analog. I paid 120 euros for it, maybe too much if you check what others have paid but here in Finland we don't see these for sale very often (if ever) so we also have to pay a little more. Anyway, I'm very satisfied by the sound and it's well worth the 120 euros.

I think the UAD plugin cost around 80$ and will become absulete in 3-4 years like most digital plugins.
My point is- Great buy!

Moro! muusikoiden.netiss?.

I also purchased a Universal Audio Boss CE-1 and Roland Dimension D plugins for my UAD1 cards so I guess I don't need any more choruses. They're also very good altough the CE300 is warmer and fuzzier and you can tweak the sound alot more. In fact it seems that the CE300 is a kind of combination of the Dimension D and CE-1 or some other models because you can make a basic fat chorus like the CE-1 and if you want, you can spread the sound a little like the dimension d does. NICE!
