It's worth remembering the British Empire

I've always found the topic of the British East India Company perplexing.

I expect a number of you lads have never even heard of it.

That's not because I'm old enough to remember it 1st hand. My old dad was a dyed-in-the-wool red and my mum was a prominent trades unionist, but neither of them were there either. Certainly a great great grandfather was poor enough that he had to join the army though...
