Default Guide To what the Access Virus Ti can do

As a new user to the Access Virus TI - I have heard lots of great things about this synth. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the Access Virus TI is capable of.

It would be great if someone was to write an advanced guide to the Access Virus TI - just to give a taste of what this synth can do.

I read it described as a medium sized modular in the sound on sound Access Virus masterclass - which was pretty amazing statement.

By the way in the Howard Scarr book Virus Tutorial - Programming Analog Synthesizers on page 72 is says - Modulating the amounts of other matrix slots is a very powerful feature which lets you do things you probably thought were impossible - what kinds of things exactly?

Thanks in advance for any response, its appreciated.

this way you can keep more changes in-sync / linked ... modulation cascading.

this removes the given limit of 3 slots / 2 hands

...yeah. what he said.

im a new user too. my only advice is just dig in and read everything you can. no one is going to spoon feed you, and no one should. learning how it works will TEACH you how to program it and develope the sounds in your head.

learning to program a synth (more specifically one as complex as the one we have bought) is not easy. just pull your boots up and wade in.

Default book recommendation

learning by doing is probably most effective ... after understanding the very basics and the machine's signal routing ...

currently working with the *Synthesizer Cookbook* ... very recommend.

it's not just about programming, but reverse engineering of synthetic sounds.

maybe that book is a bit oldschool, but lost nothing in it's actuality ...

Default Guide to what the Access Virus TI can do Question

Quick question can anyone explain what psy604 meant by the following

this way you can keep more changes in-sync / linked ... modulation cascading.

this removes the given limit of 3 slots / 2 hands

How does it remove the limit of 3 slots?

Default to be more precise ...

just realized it's 6 slots ... with 3 entries each (that was what i meant)

and by selecting another slot's ID / Amount 1/2/3 as destination
you can cascade the parameter changes within the matrix ...

e.g.: Source: Mod Wheel -> Value: +32 -> Destination:*Slot2 Amount1*
