Default Best Output

I have read quite a few posts on here that state that the USB output from the TI is only 16 bits, and that better audio quality can be obtained by resampling the TI's analog output. What about its digital output? Wouldn't it be better to skip the DA-AD conversions altogether and simply use the digital output, or is that output 16 bits too? By the way, how do I select the digital output in VirusControl? Is it Out 1, 2, or 3?

Cool

Good question. I am no master. But I think the spidif output is probably out 1 + 2. On most of my gear out 1 + 2 is duplicated on the spidif out.

The analog outputs do sound much better than the USB outs into your host. If you go out the Virus outs 3 +4 and back into it's input, you can get great recordings of your virus. Just make sure you aren't creating a feedback loop. Try it for yourself !
