Hello,

I recently purchased a Virus TI Desktop. I use it with an Apogee Duet Audio Interface and a Mac that satisfies the TI's software requirements. Although I've been very happy with the sound of the Virus, I've been encountering some problems regarding playback. When I record some midi, the Virus will play it back with no problem a couple of times. After several playbacks the Virus will start making wierd sounds instead of the ones that it's asked to playback and will eventually stop to play anything back at all. It will show the sync error message and ask to hit stop and play to clear. However doing so doesn't fix the issue and the Virus continues to not play back any sounds at all.
The Virus will do the same thing on sounds that have an arpeggiator on them whereas it'll play back the sound up to the highest octave and then eventually not play anything at all. When this happens, the only way to get it to play the programmed sounds is to turn it off and back on. However, it has started to act up much faster recently even after a couple of playbacks. I've purchased the Virus about 2 weeks ago, I tried using a different USB cable, different USB port on the Mac, lowered the sample rate on the audio interface, nothing has helped.
The described problem happens while in multimode although I can hardly imagine that being the problem since the synth is able to handle 16 parts and I merely have 3 parts playing back simultaneously as of now.
I'm assuming it has something to do with the USB connection or the software itself. Help would be much appreciated since you can imagine that it's impossible to have a proper workflow when I have to keep turning it off and back on for it to work.

If you are running OS 3.0, it is still in beta and has lots of issues especially with the Snow.

I have the very same problem w/Os3 beta, any word of when the full version will be out . I get sync errors and sometimes the pitch will go out for a second its driving me nuts.

I have this Problem with Arp sync also and My Virus is Now rendered USELESS!!!!

I am GLAD I am not the only one Kicking my Virus, I would never have updated to 3.0 had I Known this Bullshit error would start Happening!!!

For a Synth such as The Virus The Arpeggiator section is a Joke ... Why Cant you save Arp patterns you make?

How come the Arp is so crap compared to other Synths, the Arp is the Biggest let down on the whole Synth!!!!

Get Your shit together ACCESS do some work on the ARP for once ... I want to save all my patterns I make God dam it, then MORPH between them Mid TRACK for effect!!!

IF the Arp ever gets the Attention it truly Deserves Then The Virus would be the undisputed Dance Synth, at the moment its just has Good sounds and effects with average arp ability ... have a good look at the Predator .. ARP People!!! Give me 200 USER ARP PATTERNS For crying out Loud!!!

having 3 or 4 ARP Easy access patterns to Swap between on a PAtch as well would be killer ...
