Default Does the TI Snow need audio via usb?

Hi there!

i'm new to the forum.. found it while searching the net for info about the virus. I'm an oldschool hardware junky and just picked up a Virus TI Snow yesterday. Once apon a time, I had borrowed a friends Virus TI Desktop for a few months...

I don't recall the audio (when using virus control vst) needing to output via USB on the TI Desktop. After reading the manual (the Snow shares the TI manual), it states that using hardware output will lag the TI by one beat.

So here's my delimma... Right now the audio is coming out of my computer's sound card.. The issue with that is I use a hardware mixing board for my audio tweaks.

If i force a patch to the hardware output, then it's off by a beat.

If I were forced to accept this behaviour, then hardware mixing is going to be impossible.

I know I can use the MIDI ports directly, but then I loose the ability to use the Virus Control UI to store all my user defined banks.

Is there a setting i'm unaware of to fix my issue?

DJ
