Default Virus MIDI connectivity issues

Hello,

I have just purchased a Virus TI2 desktop and a Novation 49SL Compact, and I can't get them to communicate via MIDI for the life of me! I am taking the MIDI out from the keyboard into the MIDI in of the Virus. I have even tried two other keyboards, and it's the same exact thing.

Could somebody guide me step-by-step on how to connect a controller to the Virus? am I missing something here?

Thanks,
Paulo

Great resource, yes, but even the manual states that I just have to take the MIDI out of the keyboard and send it to the MIDI IN on the virus. I have set both to channel 1, and still nothing. I really don't understand what's going on. Has anyone experienced something like this? could it be that the unit's MIDI connectors are not working..?
