Default [UNSOLVED] Since 3.1 upgrade, Virus TI crackles and crashes

Since the 3.1 upgrade, I've found that a new track I'm working on sometimes crackles very quietly. The crackling is coming from the TI. The bit that is really bothering me, though, is that SOMETIMES, at a particular point in the track (seemingly the same point all the time, but it only happens very intermittently), the virus emits a very loud 0dB burst of noise, then goes quiet and I can't get any further noise out of it without quitting Live and power-cycling the Virus.

Virus Control seems to be responding to MIDI notes, but no noise comes out of it. Well, I say nothing - on one occasion the burst of noise was slightly longer, and then this proceeded to repeat every second or so until I quit Live.

I use Live 8 (latest version) and Virus Control (latest version) into 3 stereo channels, all out through an M-Audio FW 1814 (with up to date drivers).

I've only been having this problem since a mass upgrade of everything 3 days ago.

Is anyone else seeing anything similar? Does anyone have any tips?
