Hey Luke4421,
Interesting to read your response almost two years after my initial question!
I'll have to check out those products again. Since then I have bought some acapella tracks from Junodownload.com, bought an acapella collection of DVDs from eBAY (actually supplied by an acapella forum if I remember correctly), and bought just a few clips from
www.playinmusic.com (they let you buy just a portion of their vocal sample CDs so you don't get stuck with material you don't need, very cool of them actually), and been messing with them.
So many of the free vocal samples I've found on the web are from singers who try to be Whitney Houston or who are way too emotional in their expression. Very, very hard to get just what your looking for. I'm actually considering asking around at the local universities' music departments to see if there is a real live singer out there that's willing to do a recording session or two, but time is hard to come by nowadays too!
