Default Polar Power supply

Well hello to all out there!

I'm a noob in the Virus world and have recently purchased a Polar Ti from novamusik. Question is I live in Australia and the Polar has rocked up with what looks to be Euro cable and a USA cable. I've searched around and made a few calls about whether there were different Transformers put in different Virus's... but to no avail. It only says AC in on the unit and Access say they work with 100-240V, but am unsure if thats "after" they change the units internal transformers.
If anyone could shed some light on this... would be great as she's just sitting there very quietly.

Thanks!

I was wondering exactly the same thing regards the Polar power supply. Anyone know the answers?

If the unit came with a Euro & USA cable, also, if access says it works with 100-240v than that seems to imply that it's ready for use with Australian power outlets (Euro use the same voltage as AU). In which case you wouldn't need a step down transformer, right? Can anyone confirm?

Cheers,
EoN

The PSU is naturally an universal one. No-one in their right minds would make a dedicated version for every mains specs.

You still should make sure that your Virus has a universal PSU. The V-Synth XTs are meant to come with a universal PSU, but if you buy one over here in Japan they don't - at least mine didn't.

Tranformers are very cheap of course, but if you find out that the PSU is universal it will be a waste of money.

Hope you get some answers soon.

It has a universal PSU as it says it on the PSU: "It only says AC in on the unit and Access say they work with 100-240V". They don't lie.

Just to re-confirm incase any others come reading this thread for answers like I did:

The PSU IS universal. So all you have to do is find an adapter from the US or EURO plug to the AU wall. (or of course just use an AU cable that can connect from the Virus transformer to the wall, to replace the EU & US plugs that are provided)
