Has anyone had a TI Polar's InActive lights pulse or flicker after using the virus control for the first time, then it stay like that, even if nothing is plugged into is I/O????? I re-loaded the OS version 2.7 back in and it goes away until loading the virus control back with Ableton Live 7.....................Its like the InActive lights are barely glowing and freaking out.........also, the lights that do that change with the patch------different patch makes different lights freak out...........

Not sure if it's the same thing, but I had a very similar problem with my Virus C.

Many of the LEDs would have a dull glow to them, and some would pulse and flicker even when they were not meant to be on.
I first recorded it on video, then sent that along with my VC back.

Hope it's not the same thing for you.

Thanks for the info Hollowcell........

I have contacted Access and trying to figure out if it is OS problems or to send the unit back.........

Did you have to send it in for repairs or for a new one???????

I sent it in and they sent me a new one back (by 'new' I mean another faulty one that they repaired). The fuckers over here in Japan packed it so poorly as well.

The one they sent me was fine, but it was obviously one that someone else had sent in for some trouble. It definitely wasn't new, just a refurb.

I hope they give you a brand new one if they can't fix the problem, but don't hold your breath.

It was the first and last Access product I will buy.

are they the effects LEDs ?

If so they are supposed to be dim , they show you what effects are being used. - they are off when the effect isn't on and go brighter depending on the intensity of the effect.

Hello IamEvil,

No its not the effects of any other light that makes up a patch, its the other lights that are not suppose to be active or do anything that are freaking out and pulsing.......not the LFO's either.........the weird thing is that its my second unit from the music store and here is the kicker......I got up yesterday morning and tried playing the demo song for the first time on this 2nd unit and it will not even play the whole way through without introducing some sort of constant square wave that overrides the song and will not go away until you power off the unit.........tried the demo song like 7 times and last night when that noise came on, it whipped out all of the lights completely........I had to do a hard restore from the virus control to get it back to normal.........it even screwed up the patch that it was set to before the demo song was played........this on is for real screwed up...........talking with the music store to try yet another one when they get one in stock.........just feel like since we spend this much money........it should work 100% straight out of the box........the guys at access have been really good about these problems, but I feel that since I am within my 30 return policy, the music store should make it right for now.....

two times DOA in a row sounds a bit improbably ... nevertheless it's not impossible.

have you ever tried the Virus together with another computer and other USB cable?
or have the guys at the music store tested the 1st unit after you brought it back?

maybe call them up and ask them for confirmation of the symptoms
and also take the Virus to another Computer, to sort this reason out.

good luck!
