SPDIF Out Noise - which Soundcard ?

Hello everyone. Hope somebody is still surfing this forum

So, I'm having this problem:

When I send audio to my FocusRite Scarlett 18/8 trough SPDIF,
I get this Noisy and Loud Click every few seconds,
making impossible to use it.

I Tried both 44.1 and 48 khz settings, same thing happens.
I'm running Mac OS Monterey (after catalina)

Somebody else having Problems?


On another group somebody told me he had NO problems with SPDIF with his old Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL soundcard.

Somebody else told me he had same problem with Scarlett 18/i8.


For those of you that doesn´t have this problem,
what soundcard are you using?



I'm wondering and trying to understand, if it a problem due to the "catalina" Operative System, or is a problem that has to do with the soundcard.

Never had this problem , i always used Analog Outs.
