Default Copying patches from one bank to another?

I'll make modifications to a patch and then store the edited version to another location. I do this to preserve the original version of the patch. My problem is that the newly copied patch doesn't sound at all like what I copied. It seems some of the properties didn't carry over.

Also, how can I store patches to banks C through H. I hear something about a force edit mode?

thanks

Seems strange....

When you store the edited version to another location, is it stored in Banks A or B???

What you should do is find a patch you like (from banks C-H), then store in either A or B, and then edit from A or B

Im not sure about force to edit stuff......maybe someone else can be so kind to lend a hand???

P.S ~Welcome To Planet Virus~

I'm not sure how to help you with your problem of the patches not sounding the same when you copy them to another slot - never heard of that before and it does sound very strange.

Regarding the copying of patches to C - H. Patches can't be saved individualy to C - H, but you can copy a whole bank over by flashing the ROM.

EDIT; By the way. "Force to edit buffer" has nothing to do with copying sounds into C - H. Forcing to the edit buffer is for when you want to import sounds from a midi file into your Virus. The edit buffer is the small amount of memory reserved for edited patches - once you edit a patch (or import a patch from a midi file) it's stored in the edit buffer ready to be saved to a slot.

Hope that helps.
