I know a couple of friends who use it and they cant say enough good things about it. Are the added features what you're looking for? Are they worth it for what you do?

2XL works great and I really can't complain at all. I was thinking specifically of the Freeze Tracks function in 4 which frees up the cpu a lot from plug ins and effects.
Otherwise I just f****** want it! You know the feeling!

Was hoping I'd get a better discount though. ?250 to UPGRADE!

freeze is what forced me to update logic. I am running a powerbook 1Ghz and freeze gas defenitley saved my pocketbook from buying another mac. I say fucking go for it if you got the $$.

it doesnt bother you that you have to wait 5-8 minutes to freeze a 60 seconds audio part?

i can go mad from that,i prefer just bouncing to audio.

It doesnt take that long in logic if you set your end marker and freeze just the section you are working on. Dont know about any other sequencers though.

Well I have been a Sonar user for about 3 years now and I love it. I started by using 2.0XL and loved it. I then upgraded to 3 Producer edition and then 4 Producer edition and would say that you should definetly look into upgrading. Sonar 4 is so much better than 2XL, you shouldn't even hesitate on the upgrade. If you upgrade and have any questions about feel free to PM me with them.

Nigel hi. I'd love to upgrade. Just a lot of cash for me at the moment.

What features do you like apart from the freeze frame? What can it do that I can't now with 2XL, Waves Gold plug-ins and the VSTi wrapper?

Are the tools above the tracks pane now dockable elsewhere? I might upgrade just for that. I HATE resizing the split in order to access the snap to grid and enable automatic cross fades buttons.

Do you play guitar? Are the amp simulators any better in 4?

Cheers
Matt
